Scrapbooking with Fabric Scraps

Fabrid Daisy Delight Card Making CraftI enjoy sewing cute little dresses for my little girls, but when I buy such nice fabric I have a hard time throwing all the nice sized scraps away.  For years I have been saving these scraps with the intention of making a crazy patch quilt, but I’ve never had time to make it.  This week I finally found another use for my piles of fabric scraps.  Scrapbooking and card making embellishments!

Using the fabric scraps in combination with painted piece of chipboard, I glued the fabric loosely in the back to create puckers.  Using clear stamps I stamped a matching floral pattern on complimentary paper to enhance the fabric design.  A simple fabric strip forms a horizontal element on the card.  More detailed instructions are available.

This same technique would be a great way to make scrapbooking mementos for a favorite dress that was made special for a little girl.

I love this! I’m always looking for good ideas for my scrapbooking and I’ve been wanting to use fabric for a long time.

    Thanks!
