Floral Greeting Card Making Tutorial

Enjoy a bright and sunny card filled with cheer for a special friend. This card uses two of the same design in different ways to create harmony, unity and interest in the design. The bright colors used add to the cheer the card emanates.

Materials Needed to Make this Card

To Make This Card:

  1. Prepare card according to the instructions for the AWAKEN Card Making Template  Using the Summer Season Clear Stamp Set, stamp two purple flowers with yellow centers on each D.  Mat the one D with E using glue.  Cut out the other flower and cut in half through the middle.  Set aside.
  2.  Glue C onto A.  Trim card for evenness.  Glue your matted flower above C.  Using 3-d Sticky foam tape secure B across the top of C.  Tuck the half flower in behind this strip and secure with 3-d sticky foam as well.  Trim the end to keep even with card edge.
  3. Add a buckle embellishment vertically on the right hand side of E.  Thread ribbon though the top, around inside the card and back up through the bottom.  Pull ends snug.  Be sure to fray the ends and ink them with purple ink.  You may want to wear rubber gloves for this as it is pretty easy to ink you fingers in the process.  Secure the ends with three brads on each side of the buckle.
  4.  Using the Garden Box Clear Stamp Set stamp the sentiment onto C in purple ink.  To finish the buckle stamp three flowers from the Garden Box Clear Stamp Set together without re-inking.  Cut them out on the edges and secure with double sided tape.
  5.  Add a sentiment or thought inside your card or leave it blank for a finished project!
  6.

    Happy Stamping!!!
